Telephone is ringing In the middle of the night I know you must hate me I’m just trying to make things right I’ll drive you home I’m not saying a word Looking out my window At the clouds in the sky Rain drops on the glass Just like tears in your eyes I’ll drive you home I’m not saying a word I park the car in the driveway But we’ve got a long way to go I’ll drive you home I’m not saying a word

Just another 1700 hours Another day I can’t get back Call me in the morning to line your pockets early I let it ring cuz I know it’s a trap You take and you make Your bottomline is what’s at stake I sacrifice - not you Cashing another check I sweat while you collect Another prize But I’m worth more What it takes to keep this fire burning Doesn’t matter – you won’t pay the price Your assumption becomes my problem Your greed chips away my life You take and you make Your bottom line is what’s at stake I sacrifice - not you Cashing another check I sweat while you collect Another prize But I’m worth more My time is not your time My time is not your time

New Progress 03:36
I watch the headlights Like stars at night Feel the road hum And grip the wheel tight It’s coming back to me now It’s hard to find What is mine I’m on my way home I’ll try again next time It’s coming back to me now I guess they call it progress

Why 03:09
Nothing lasts forever But I thought we could They say things must change You said we never would Nothing lasts forever And now I see There’s a space in my closet Where your things used to be If yesterday was today Could I right my wrong If yesterday was today Would you still want to leave me Nothing lasts forever But I had to try You always said I was crazy Now I guess I know why Nothing lasts forever And I hope that’s true I can’t wait for the day I stop thinking about you If yesterday was today Could I right my wrong If yesterday was today Would you still want to leave me

Lou Barlow 02:27
Wait a damn minute Turn this car around We’re going back to the scene of the crime So don’t you make a sound I’m alive – but I’m spent Never forget it Down in the basement I hope it was worth it Never find a replacement Kick, kick at the walls Scratch, scratch in your mind Choose any door that you want You’ll never leave it behind I’m alive – but I’m spent

Bad Day 03:26
Ya ever have a Bad Day with a perfect view of the kind of person you always swore you'd never turn into It's a long black veil, a cautionary tale another piece of wreckage that you that you could use maybe for the truth In the long run you never let me down and it's all I've got Its your decision, I can't change your mind I didn't bring the matches why should I watch you burn it down for a second time No gasoline, no kerosene Just a misbelief that you were being kind just not my kind In the long run you never let me down and it's all I've got
7.
Just one more day for me to get through Giving all I got to you Breaking apart and stripping the screws Did you even notice Time won’t let me forget and fade All the mistakes I have made Would it have made a difference if I had stayed Did you even notice I never had a chance to mend You throw out every letter I send Never realized that this was the end Did you even notice I lie alone here in bed With all these words trapped in my head Would it have made a difference if I said If I said that I miss you Piston in motion, Piston in motion Take me far away from her Go, go on and drive Take me far away from here

Julianna 04:01
I showed up And you’re still not packed up All these empty boxes They’re all stacked up I believed when you said you were ready to go I believed when you said you were ready to go Gave in – shoulda known better Always thought you’d get it together Gave in – shoulda known better I showed up But your shit’s not packed up I showed up But your shit’s not packed up I’m parked right outside your front door Told myself we wouldn’t do this anymore I believed when you said you were ready to go I believed when you said you were ready to go Gave in – shoulda known better Always thought you’d get it together Gave in – shoulda known better I showed up But your shit’s not packed up I showed up But your shit’s not packed up I showed up I thought you were ready to go Oh, Julianna I got no time for your la la blah blah You know most of the time it seems Most of the time it seems Most of the time it seems like you don’t even try

Figure 02:21
First thing in the morning and you pour one down King of a broken kingdom, where is your crown Did you wake up with your face in the ground You just set fire to the last bridge out of town This won’t end no matter what you think Or what you say this time you can’t go it alone This won’t end another day on the brink Your past is vague but youir future is set in stone 3am and your bottle runs dry You ask me how do I do it, why should I try But you can’t stop it and those little eyes they cry In their sweet little world – your biggest lie This won’t end no matter what you think Or what you say this time you can’t go it alone This won’t end another day on the brink Your past is vague but youir future is set in stone

Loss of eleveation These images make no sense A life spent with our frustration We’re going down over our heads Just a plain and easy mark We were boarded – taken over Just a quiet merger in the dark We were boarded – taken over The rats have taken all the lifeboats In no time we’ll all be dead We’re way off course and taking on water We’re going down over our heads Just a plain and easy mark We were boarded – taken over Just a quiet merger in the dark We were boarded – taken over

Farewell 02:43
Now you’ve run your course So we say farewell You keep on running strong But no one can tell That you’re not down And you’re not out Small parts add up To the end of the line Treading lightly With miles to go Trying to make it last So sorry you got old But you’re not down And you’re not out Small parts add up To the end of the line

Statesman 03:55
Hurts me to see you – this time Over you with hands tied – this time Sometimes I wish I could say… Dying inside watching – this time Talking to you but you’re not – this time Sometimes I wish I could say… Watching you lie there – this time Sorry for everything – this time Never got a chance to say Evreything I need today Hurts me to see you – this time Talking to you but you’re not – this time Never got a chance to say Never got a chance to say

Ghosts in the Valley Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Formed summer '09, Ghosts in the Valley have been slugging it out in dives up and down the East Coast. Their "Loud and Shouty" style comes from a steady diet of punk, hardcore and grunge. Our second album was recorded with veteran engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) released in Spring of 2012. Basic tracks for a 3rd were recorded but then we went on hiatus to become parents. Release TBD ... more
